1---I can cook a great Ethiopian dish called Doro wat, loosely translated as chicken and sauce. Its made with an African spice call berbere and it will be one of the spiciest foods you will ever eat.
2---I was riding my bike one day in the backwoods of Guatemala and I collided with a pig. Before you get too worried, the pig was fine. However, my bike and I were not.
3---Our favorite family movie is Captain Ron. We all wish we could sail away and never come back.
4---My favorite book is One day in the life of Ivan Denisovich, written by Alexander Solzhenitsyn
5---My first vehicle was a 1964 Ford truck, 292, four speed, Forest Service green. I bought it for $550. I wish I never sold it. If you have it, please call me.
6---My favorite saying is Make your own weather.
7---I got sick in India once. Spent a miserable 24 hours in my hotel room, rode an auto rickshaw to the airport and the flight attendant let me lay down on take off. She was like an angel.
8---One of my favorite places in the world is Pucon, Chile. I either want to live there, or perhaps stay a few months while I write a book in Pucon.
9---I ran for student body office twice in college and I lost both times. But I had the best signs ever.
10--I tried something called basashi in Japan. It's raw horse. Please don't email me and tell me I'm un-American. I also ate fish eyes, Octopus pancakes, and eel. There are so many things to try in this world.
11--I was watching when the Men's U.S. Hockey team beat the Soviet Union in the 1980 Olympics to win the goal.
12--When the Challenger exploded, I was watching it on a TV in the Library at Utah State University.
13--My favorite shampoo is Suave Strawberry.
14--My favorite word is pamplemousse. It mean grapefruit in French.
15--My other favorite word is lugubrious.
16--One of the most amazing things I ever saw was a castle in Vianden, Luxembourg.
17--I started writing on Dec 26, 2011.
18--I don't like parades or fishing. And I don't like movies about satanic stuff.
19--One of my earliest memories is watching a girl from the neighborhood pee in my sand box. Talk about traumatized.
